Center for Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council Application

Center for Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council Application

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion is seeking members for its Advisory Council (CDIAC). The CDIAC will play a critical role in the development of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion as a new unit within Emory University’s Division of Campus Life. In addition, the CDIAC will permanently retain and manage the Campus Life Compact. The Campus Life Compact was developed in December of 2012 to explore issues of race, gender, privilege, sexual violence, and oppression on campus and implement solutions to specific challenges.

The inaugural Advisory Council began meeting in the spring of 2015 to develop processes and procedures for CDIAC related to recruitment, facilitation, and short-term goal development. The Council is seeking approximately ten additional FACULTY, STAFF, and ALUMNI to serve a two-year term from 2015-2017. New members will join the current group of undergraduate students, graduate/professional students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

The completed application is due August 21, 2015.

Please note, fall 2015 meetings of the CDIAC will occur from 4-5:30 p.m. on the following dates:
September 15 (new member orientation)
