Attire:
Unfortunately, we are out of shirts, but we invite you to wear an Emory shirt or your queerest get-up!
Transportation:
We highly recommend that you take MARTA to the ATL Pride Parade site in Midtown Atlanta. Exit at the CIVIC CENTER station and head toward the corner of Ivan Allen Jr Boulevard NE and Spring St. and look for the Emory-themed CLIF shuttle in Row A.
If you drive, please know that many streets will be closed and your ability to get close to the parade start will be limited.
Schedule and Lineup Location:
All parade attendees must be with the Emory contingent in Row A by 11:30am.
The Emory contingent will be lined up on Ivan Allen Jr Boulevard somewhere between Spring and Peachtree Streets. Look for the large CLIF shuttle wrapped in Pride colors. It can be challenging to find the group because of the number of participants; expect that it will take you some time to find us. Don’t get left behind!
The parade will end just past the Charles Allen Gate of Piedmont Park where participants will be ushered into the park and festival.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation back to campus or their final destination.
Parade Rules, Information, and Recommendations:
You may also want to bring snacks, water, and sunscreen for the duration of the parade. You are responsible for carrying any personal items that you bring.
Candy and other small giveaways will be available to hand out along the parade route. Marchers may not throw anything to bystanders.
Marchers may not stop to “perform.”
Expect to see anti-LGBTQ protesters at the parade. Organizers ask that you do not engage them in any way.
Please note that the parade will be televised and you may be photographed by Emory University and local media outlets. By participating in the parade, you are consenting to being photographed.
If you are unable to walk for the duration of the parade route, please contact Danielle.Bruce.Steele@emory.eduso that we can secure a seat for you on the CLIF shuttle.
